When it comes to ultimate traveling destinations, Turkey a junction of east and west is one of the most famous ones. It has a lot of dream places filled with natural beauty, from serene beaches to mighty mountains and an array of preserved architecture.  These places are a must visit in turkey.

1: Istanbul

Istanbul which was once a capital of Ottoman and Byzantine Empires is now one of the largest cities of not only Turkey but the whole world. Istanbul is the city which connects east and west i.e. Europe and Asia together. It is a must visit the place due to sites like Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. It is a city of well-preserved architecture.

 2: Cappadocia

Cappadocia is located in central Anatolia and it is known for its unusual landscape which basically is an aftereffect of the mountain eruptions. The whole city looks like cones and pinnacles. The caves in the mountains which were once houses and refugee centers in the invasion times are now hotels which are used to cater tourists. Hot air balloons are a specialty of Cappadocia which takes the tourists on the exploration of the whole city.

3: Antalya

Antalya a beautiful, lush green, vibrant city which is coast lined by the Mediterranean is the heart of Turkey’s beauty. It has a lot to offer to the tourists including swimming, sailing, and mountain climbing along with great food from a variety of restaurants, resorts, hotels, and bars. Antalya is a great place for sightseeing due to the ancient ruins which take the tourists into the past with the views of the old city including Roman Gates, clock tower and its maze-like streets.

4:  Konya

One of the oldest cities in the world and best known for its remarkable Seljuk architecture and Whirling Dervishes, Konya is a large city in Turkey’s Central Anatolia Region. In the 12th and 13th centuries, Konya prospered as a capital city under the rule of the Seljuk Dynasty. Today, buildings from that era are still admired and are famous among tourists such as the Alaeddin Mosque and the ruins of the Seljuk Palace.

5: Ankara

Ankara is the capital of Turkey and is the heart of transportation in Turkey connecting travelers from all over the world to the destinations that beautiful Turkey has to offer. Ankara is a modern city of Turkey with universities, commercial businesses, buildings, and foreign embassies. The city offers art and culture as well through museums and the famous museum in Ankara is the Museum of Anatolian civilization.

There are a lot of other travel destinations as well but the beautiful mixture of nature, art, history, and architecture that Turkey has to offer cannot be seen elsewhere, making it a unique place for unwinding and regaining your own self.
