If you are a woman and want to increase the chances of conceiving a baby then this article is for you as well will discuss a number of ways to achieve that.

The most important thing in women’s fertility is taking better care of their bodies. They need to know their bodies, especially the menstrual cycle.

Here are some of the important things to know when trying to get pregnant.

1. Record menstrual cycle frequency

Recording menstrual cycle frequency helps a woman to better predict when she might be ovulating. She needs to know when her periods tend to come to the same number of days apart every month.

This will help her to know the time when her ovaries will release an egg every month.

2. Monitor ovulation

For women with regular cycles, ovulation occurs about two weeks before the arrival of periods. It is difficult to predict but it usually happens about 12 to 16 days before the start of the next period.

3. Have sex every other day during the fertile window

Well, this is the most obvious thing to do. A fertile window is about a six-day span which occurs five days prior to ovulation. These are the days when a woman is most fertile each month. So, you need to do sex every day during this fertile window.

4. Strive for a healthy body weight

Healthy body weight matters a lot when it comes to conceiving a baby. The research shows that having too heavy body weight reduces the chances of conceiving but having a too-thin body can make it very hard to have a baby.

Overweight women take longer to become pregnant than women with normal BMI.

5. Take a prenatal vitamin

It is highly recommended by the experts that women who are attempting to conceive start taking a prenatal vitamin even before becoming pregnant. In this way, a woman can find one that’s more agreeable to her system and stay on it during pregnancy.

Women can also opt to take a daily multivitamin, as long as it contains at least 400 micrograms (mcg) per day of folic acid, a B vitamin that’s important for preventing birth defects in a baby’s brain and spine.

6. Eat healthy foods

As mentioned at the start of the article, taking care of the body and health is very important. Women who want to conceive need to eat a variety of healthy foods. Women need to have an adequate amount of nutrients in their bodies for a healthy baby.

7. Cut back on strenuous workouts

Doing heavy exercises and strenuous workouts could interfere with ovulation. So women need to cut such exercises. However, being physically active most days of the week prepares the body for pregnancy and labor.
